I have never been comfortable in Photoshop. There are just so many tools and even more nuances within the tools. I have taken classes, both live (when that was still allowed) and on line, but still don’t completely “get” it.
That being said, I have been using it primarily for the clone stamp when an image can’t be handled properly by Lightroom.
The first four entries in this series have been interesting and enlightening. I have jumped into Photoshop more in the past few weeks than in the previous six months.
I don’t normally do posts like this, but I saw your comment about no one commenting on this series. I, for one, appreciate it and look forward to each installment.

Thank you for saying so, Andrea. Much appreciated. 🙂

I do the same thing (great minds think alike). However, that often doesn’t stop the smudging issue when using the Healing Brush – however, it works perfectly with the Clone Stamp tool. 🙂

I was feeling lonely. 😉

Yes, you absolutely could – as long as you’re using the Clone Stamp tool – the Healing brush would still smudge, even inside the selected area.

I’ve been a LR user (and Kelby reader) for decades, but always avoided PS. Your pulling out the most useful features and explaining them clearly makes all the difference. Thank you.
