Thank you, Rob. I use virtual copies and snapshots a lot and had noticed how the edits on virtual copies don’t get saved to the XMP metadata. It makes indeed total sense to create a snapshot when or after editing a virtual copy in order to save those edits to the XMP metadata of the original file.

However, your tip made me think of how it would perhaps be useful and easy if we could do the reverse also: Create a virtual copy from within the Snapshots panel upon editing the original photo. Any chance of you asking/proposing this to the developers team?
